ABOUT THE NETWORK

The objectives of the network are:
A. To create a European forum for discussion for those interested in creativity in the pre-school context;
B. To identify, compare and exchange practices, methodologies and approaches favouring the
development of creativity among children and teachers;
C. To increase the quality of the educational offer by promoting the competences/skills of the pre-school
teaching staff on the issue of creativity;
D. To use creativity as a means to favour educational and social inclusion of children and families belonging to minority and/or disadvantaged groups;
E. To strengthen the European dimension referred to the Lifelong Learning Programme and to fostering creativity from the earliest stages of development.

The network will provide an opportunity for spreading information about research and best practices as identified in the different countries.

We expect spill over effects and the development of new actions at national level: across the educational system (networking and sharing of information will produce change in primary and secondary school contexts) and cross-sector issues (e.g. social inclusion and integration are more and more connected to creativity)

The network will have an impact also in terms of providing pre-school teachers with materials (results of the research), information and more in general opportunity for reflection leading to new in-service training projects focusing on creativity.
